##About the court##
The Court is non-partisan with a Progressive majority.
Terms are 6 years. The next election cycle is in 2012 when there will be two open/appointee seats up for election and Justice Owens running for re-election.
This will be the most turnover ever in a single year. Stakes are particularly high since the primary is on August 7, 2012 (also the earliest primary ever) and if there are two candidates, or one person gets 50% plus one vote, in the primary, the race is over.
A strong slate of candidates is lining up behind the progressive movement, but as always, and especially in this high-stakes presidential and Congressional election year, anything can happen. Please stay posted.
